HAIR UPDATE
As for the hair update I have 4 months left of my two year transition its a long time but it has flown by quite quickly. I have spent all of 2012 looking for products and a regime that suits me, guess what I am almost there wooohooo!!
REGIME
I wash my hair once a week used be twice a week but I felt that was too much.
I DC (deep condition) my hair once a week. Check out my DC here >>>>https://stylisoulstar.wordpress.com/2012/11/16/home-made-winter-deep-conditioner/
I moisturise every few days with a leave in or butter with some coconut oil.
PRODUCTS
I use products that have natural ingredients in them.
Current products that I am using are:
Cioccolatina Afro Shampoo Bar (available from Shea Butter cottage). This makes your curls POP!!
Curl Junkie curl assurance smoothing lotion (I use this as my leave in conditioner). It has a lot of slip, is very good for de tangling and moisturising the hair.
Coconut Oil this is my FAVE oil that I use to seal and use as a refresher if my hair is feeling dry.
DC (deep condition) I use pretty much any conditioner I have, lately it has been Shea Moisture Organic Yucca & Baobab Anti-breakage Masque and Curly q’s Coconut dream moisturising conditioner. I usually soup up my conditioner with EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), avocado oil, castor oil, coconut oil these help to enhance the moisturising qualities of the DC.
The newest edition is the Yes To Carrots Pampering conditioner
STYLING
I always put my hair in twists once I have washed my hair, I NEVER do wash and gos, if I did I would only if I was wearing it that same day. I wear my hair out like twice a week the rest of the time I do puffs, buns and flat twists.
My aim is to wear my hair out once a week the rest the time I will be in a protective style.
