Vegan Omelette!

For my fellow vegans out there or for those who just want an alternative this recipe is a great instead of a traditional egg omelette. Because chickpea flour is used this is still a great source of protein so it is giving you the nutritional benefits you need. This is also a cheaper omelette alternative as a bag of gram flour (chickpea flour) can last you a good while. So if you are interested in trying out this recipe then carry on reading below……

Vegan Omelette

1/2 Cup Gram Flour (chickpea flour)
1 Cup Water
1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1/4 tsp Chili (adjust to taste)
dash of Black pepper

Veggies of choice (cut finely):
Onions
Tomato
Mushroom
Spinach

First thing in a medium sized bowl mix together Gram flour, water and spices. Whisk thoroughly to get rid of any lumps, then leave to one side to thicken up. Meanwhile add a little coconut oil to your frying pan and heat.

Chop your veg up finely, add to the frying pan and cook through.

Once veg is cooked spread out the veg evenly and pour the gram flour mixture over. Let it cook and set so it is no longer liquid, once cooked on the first side put a plate on top of the frying pan and turn out onto the plate. Slide back into the pan so the other side can cook. Give it a few more minutes to cook on the other side then slide onto plate and EAT!!

I usually add some Franks hot sauce to mine then inhale 🙂

For those of you that have tried this you will know that is a great omelette alternative and is very very satisfying….

Those of you that haven’t tried it GET COOKING it is oh so simple…….
