For the past how many years I have bought plant milk from the the supermarket for CONVENIENCE and laziness, I have done a few experiments with making almond, hemp and cashew milk. but to be purely honest with you Hemp milk straight up changes the game, it is so nutritious and delicious, easy to make and packed full of goodness. Okay let’s drop some nutritional facts, it is a complete protein so has all of the essential amino acids the body needs. So this makes it an awesome plant based protein to pack in to your daily intake. Hemp is also full of omega-3, fiber, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and zinc. These all together help the body to get oxygen around the body, support the immune system and bone health. so enough of all that lets get making….
1 cup hemp seed hearts
4 cups of mineral water
3 medjool dates
pinch of himalayan pink salt
how to make
1. measure about 1 cup of hemp hearts and add them to the blender jug.
2.pour in the water and blend till smooth and creamy.
3.Strain in a nut milk bag or cheesecloth or sieve.
4.rinse out the blender jug and add the strained milk back in.
5.add in the medjool dates and salt then blend till smooth.
6.pour into a jug or container and chill in the fridge.
* to get a smoother milk use a nut milk bag as it has a finer mesh, but if you want more nutrients to remain a simple strainer will be best.
* The hemp milk will last about 3 days in a cold fridge.
*add cacao, banana and peanut butter for an amazing shake.
